  1. How does dermaplaning work and is it safe?

    This is a procedure in which a single razor blade is used to remove the top layer of superfluous hair as well as dead skin. The procedure is quick, relatively painless, and involves little to no recovery time!

  2. What areas can be treated?

    Dermaplaning is only performed on the face. This excludes eyelids and lips.

  3. Will this dermaplaning hurt?

    Dermaplaning is a pain-free experience!

  4. Is there downtime/any restrictions on my activity after dermaplaning?

    Dermaplaning requires little to no downtime.

  5. What precautions should be taken before and after dermaplaning?

    Please avoid retinoids for 3-5 days prior to treatment.

    After treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days, extreme heat for 3 days,

    Additionally, please do not use scrubs or other exfoliators for 1 week as well as chlorine for 1 week.

  6. How many treatments will I need?

    Once or twice per month is recommended for best results.

  7. Who isn’t a candidate for this dermaplaning?

    Patients who often experience skin irritations, dryness, sensitivity, or bacterial spread should not get this service.

  8. How long will the results last?

    Results typically last up to 3 weeks!

  9. What if something goes wrong?

    In the rare event of an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible.
