Microneedling in Chicago, IL

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic dermatological procedure that boosts collagen and revitalizes the skin. It's formally known as “Collagen Induction Therapy.” To provide you with a top-quality mirconeedling service, we choose to use SkinPen. We also use ProGen for PRP.

Why SkinPen?

  • SkinPen is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, meaning it's rigorously tested for safety.

Why ProGen for PRP?

  • Progen Advantage is an FDA-Cleared Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) system. PRP, facilitated by the SkinPen, uses your skin's natural properties and ability to repair damaged tissues. This allows your skin to look its very best and enhances the effectiveness of traditional microneedling.

Microneedling FAQs

  1. How does SkinPen Microneedling work, and is it safe?

SkinPen gives your skin the reset that it needs. Not only is SkinPen the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, but it’s also made in the USA – which means it’s rigorously tested for safety.

Microneedling involves introducing thousands of microchannels into the skin with small, sterilized needles. This stimulates your body to activate its own natural wound healing mechanism stimulating the production of collagen and elastin which rejuvenates your skin from the inside out.

2. What areas can be treated?

Microneedling is most often used on the face.  In addition to facial concerns, microneedling is sometimes used to treat stretch marks in other areas of the body. Microneedling is also effective for stretch marks and/or scars on the thighs and abdominal area.

3. Will SkinPen Microneedling hurt?

Microneedling procedures aren’t painful but can be slightly uncomfortable. We will apply numbing cream on the treated area so you will not feel the procedure.

4. Is there downtime/any restrictions on my activity after the SkinPen Microneedling?

Microneedling is minimally invasive, and healing usually takes about 24 hours.  It is considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. You’ll experience minor redness and irritation for a few days after the procedure. Wearing an SPF of 15 or more is mandatory for harmonious healing and optimal results.
